I could always try and make a Joe Strummer replica Telecaster. It seems some guy in Japan did (scroll down a bit). And a very nice job, too! He even sunburst'ed it first, then did the black and stickers and general battering. I can't read any of the text (can you?) but it's somewhat fascinating, nonetheless.
The real one was spotted in the hands of Mick Jones, though I don't know exactly when. (With Badly Drawn Boy--that's Mick in the black suit and bald head.)
