Aw, that's not fair, just some other bands I really liked this year:
Morrissey's glam comeback. He's still the same old mope, maybe a little more misanthropic in his old age.
I realized that I like Sufjan Stevens WAY better than Pedro The Lion. Those are banjos?
Corrina Repp ("Order Girl" at the HUSH/Decemberists Shop). When you send away for stuff she writes little notes with hearts and says you're super duper. Alas, she does it for everyone, not just me. But she gave me her own copy of the spring tour poster, which is super duper cool of her. I like her breathy, streched out music. It's relaxing, but not in an elevator music tune it out way. You still want to listen intently while you're relaxed.
