Let the Games Begin!
So, the pack mule (UPS) stopped at the house yesterday.
This is the last time it will ever be so...untouched. After seeing the bright candy apple red finish on the box, I, for one fleeting moment, considered doing a "normal" finish. But then I immediately remembered that the whole point is to do a painting on it. It would be very cheesy to try and make it look real and pretend it's a real Telecaster. Plus, I hear Fender gets angry with people who pass off these kits as the real deal (you can buy decals for all eras on eBay). But any guitar geek worth his string squeak could tell it isn't real, since the strings don't pass through the body, like a classic Tele, the saddles aren't quite a Fender design, and the back is contoured like a Strat. So, a unique work of "art" it will be!
