Fools! Ignore Mah Red Jerseyed Companion!

Heh. The original!

Also, new music news:
The new TMBG? No thanks. Do not want.
The new Avett Brothers album, Emotionalism? Do want! I especially like Die Die Die, which is one of those great sunny-sounding mortality songs we all love so much! And The Ballad Of Love And Hate is great too! If you buy the CD you get a sticker you can put on your guitar case! Woohoo!

Also, dudes like the large-ish guy in teh red jersey? They WILL leave you in the dust. Don't be makin' fun of their build or their bike (circa 1997 Performance mail-order jobbie? Well, I'm not one to talk, I ride a 2005 mail-order jobbie, which is just lovely and fits perectly BTW, thankyouverymuch and only weighs 18.5 lbs).

Young Men and Fire

Nope, not Norm MacLean's great book...just me, and the napalm-esque citronella candle bucket I stupidly threw into the firepit.

"Yowch!" he said, a few singed hairs later!

Whatever Floats Your Boat!

Gah!
I used to complain about Blogger...now I will do that for my webhost...which is, shall we say, dreamy.

Make It a Double!

Fifteen hours on the road, bounding up and then barrelling down mountains in VT and NH at the end, in the dark and the rain. Finally arrived, was handed a Bass by my brother in law.

I Has a Bucket

Yup. Jealous?

Ferocious!

Uncontrollable sneezing overtook me during the ritual mowing of the grass (weeds) yesterday.

A Rusty Tin Can and an Old Hurley Ball

I have bins and bins of old screws and brackets, hinges and staples and all manner of other metal thingies. I don't think I need to keep them forever. I kept them thinking I'd need them, but how many re-used drywall sccrews does a person need?

I'd Wear It

A shirt of me.
Apparently, the "real" St. Christopher is shrouded in mystery. So, until that's all cleared up, I can be a saint.

Nextdoorland

Yesterday Sam and I got into a deep discussion of Robyn Hitchcock lyrics. Wow! I am the proudest Poppa!

Ack! Branded!

The blisters have mostly dried up. But the "Do Not Touch" symbol is still clearly there. And it itches like mad.

The Abandoned Brain

Invisible Hitchcock: Favorite old Robyn album and cover. For some reason I am endlessly fascinated with his demos. And radishes.

I've Been Wondering

In a fight, who would win, Lily Allen or Amy Winehouse?

Everybody I've asked has said Amy, I think. No offense to Lily, but Amy seems like she's got a mean right hook and some crazy hair-pullin' skillz. Lily, I mean, she's got a vicious streak, it seems, but her sarcasm and cutting wit won't be able to stop the punches.

I saw their CDs near each other on that top shelf recommended/marketed section at Borders and remembered that I was curious about this important question.

May Day!

Here's to health!

Feel free to change the drink in the picture in your mind to something more pleasing, be it Enviga, Diet Pepsi, vitamin water, etc. It only appears to name a certain product because of a licensing/merchandising agreement I signed years ago with a certain international syrupy corporation.
