Instant Karma's Gonna Get You

Wallet most likely stolen
Flat tire

Wallet found, bereft of cash
Tire replaced (but the Road Hazard Guarantee only covers a pro-rated portion of the replacement value AND the tires seem to be wearing, evenly at least, at a rate far faster than is normal)

So, that's Universe 2, Me 2 (or 1 and a half, since the tire replacement experience still has some hassle factor left in it), so we're pretty much even, pretty much.

Pretty much.

"Snuffles? Prepare the 6-inch Claws!"

Snuffles is, of course, a small stuffed polar bear, who is fond of eating blue, oxygen-rich seals.

This, of course, is a monster that Sam drew.

Area House Eats Area Man

And it still looks hungry!

Actually, I put this up because I started four different drawings and hated them all.

My Bacon Pie, Let Me Show You It

So, the lovely, talented, and delicious-pie-making Laura made me an apple pie for my birthday. With bacon in it! Wow! All I can say is "Nom nom nom!"

And "Thank you!" She has a way with pie (tapioca beads and a secret blend of seasonings and spices).

The Blues

Apparently, in NJ, if you drive an Acura or Mercedes or BMW SUV, you can drive however you want whenever you want. A little known traffic law.

Gah!

Maybe I'll get a chance to play some guitar this weekend, it's coming with me.

You can try to swim the sea

OK, I have not seen any birthday shipments, people!
You have a few days left, so, as they say, act now!

Actually, I don't really want anything.

Well the rain falls down without my help I'm afraid

Would I feel so tired if it wasn't a rainy morning? If I had another cup of coffee? If I didn't want to do 400 things every day? I could blame myself, but I'd rather blame the weather.

Well, nevermind, off to work(s)!

Dude!

The first guy I helped at one of my two new jobs looked something like this. I drew it later, I didn't make him stand there for a portrait. He was nice enough, I suppose. He had a really heavy NJ accent. Like someone pretending to be from Jersey.

Ignore my uncolored chameleon companion!

This confused me--top 10 iPod songs:

Little Red Light - Fountains Of Wayne
Southern Mark Smith (original version) - The Jazz Butcher
Die Die Die - The Avett Brothers
The Dandy Warhols' TV Theme Song - The Dandy Warhols
This Could Be The Day - Robyn Hitchcock
Sleep The Clock Around - Belle & Sebastian
New Girl - The Long Winters
Rain - The Beatles
Another Sunny Day - Belle & Sebastian
The Bottom Line - Big Audio Dynamite

Then I figured it out--it's the morning playlist, set to be the alarm.

Silly me!

Though I really do like Little Red Light...
